We are currently in National Lockdown and we are closed for all activities, classes and events. Take care and stay home, stay safe, and email us for a chat!
We are looking for volunteer Trustees to join our friendly Trustee team.
Our Trustees support and guide the direction the centre is going in, by listening to our members views and those of the local community. Meeting 8 times a year and attending the AGM, you will receive a monthly report about what has been happening at the centre and what is due to happen. You are more than welcome and encouraged to pop in to meet with members and the local community, but that is not essential.
In particular, we are looking for people with experience in chairing, building and construction, finance, and community work, but we are also welcoming to all experiences. This opportunity is open to all adults over the age of 18, with no upper age limit.
For an informal chat about the roles, please email

Our shop is now open! We have a lovely range of logo items for sale, and will soon be adding our activity boxes and ticketed events! We're so pleased with the quality (thank you Witterings Print Worx) and of course we need to thank Dan McCabe again, who designed our logo back in 2018!

A 'million' thank yous!
We had a thank you event for our amazing volunteers, who without them giving the time and skills they do, we wouldn't be able to run such an amazing, friendly, varied programme of activities! We had lunch, quizzes, and plenty of time for chat and catch-ups! It was so lovely to see everyone and all went away with a bag full of millions sweets, just to say thank you again!
Psychic Donna Piggott-Bednall is coming!
After asking for recommendations on Facebook for who you’d like our next psychic medium visitor to be, there were so many requests for Donna Piggott that we just had to book her! She’s coming to read the room on Sunday 15th March at 7pm, tickets are £9 available from the office, or on – Be quick, she sold out her last Bedhampton date!
No NO, thank YOU!
We’ve discovered something – out of all of you kind people that help us here at the centre, a lot of you don’t realise you’re volunteers! If you help us with events, running groups, coffee mornings, photocopying – anything at all – you are one of us!
And we’d like to say thank you to you! We’re holding a volunteer thank you event on Wednesday 22nd January, and we want you to come! Come and pick up your free ticket from the office.
In the words of the Vengaboys, We Like to Party
Oh, you lot. That was a fun Christmas party night wasn’t it! Haha! You daft bunch! You know it’s going to be a good night when it’s only just started and the dancefloor is already full with people dancing to Sex on the Beach! (I’d forgotten all about that song, but still knew every word!) Unfortunately, the only photo I took all night was the one before everyone arrived - DOH!
We very nearly ran out of prosecco (well done Bidbury PTA!) but all was good. The DJ Martin ended the night dancing with a traffic cone on his head, and we all sang karaoke to Tina Turner. When everyone had gone home and we turned the lights on, I’ve never seen so much glitter and so many sequins covering the hall floor! Can’t wait for the next party night already, which is our 80s night in May. See you there!
Christmas shopping and pamper night
13th November was our lovely sold-out Festive shopping and pamper night. As always everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, chilling out with their winter punch, and buying some Christmas gifts (I may have bought a gift or two for myself, as well as for others!). We had a good variety of pamper treatments on offer which were so lovely and relaxing in the cosy lounge, just what you need on these cold nights!
Our children’s Halloween party was a sugar-laden spook-fest! With everything from lollypop ghost crafts to touchy feely boxes, Bluebird the storyteller and make your own lunch (hot dog fingers! Om nom nom!), there was something for everyone. The children ran, screamed, played, laughed and all joined in, and seeing the parade at the end of the afternoon while Lily our friendly witch handed out trick or treat sweets was fabulous! We sold out quite early on with this, so we’ll be looking at a different format for next Halloween so more children in Bedhampton can come along – we’ll keep you posted!
Well the people of Bedhampton definitely know how to party!!!
The 70s and Motown disco was so much fun - it was great to see familiar faces and lots of new faces turn up and dance, and drink, and eat the retro snacks we put out on the tables (onion rings or cheese puffs, anyone?).
Tom the Vinyl DJ kept the party going all night, and I haven't danced that much in ages!
The selfie station with all of its props was definitely popular, and we'd love to see more photos that you took over on our facebook page!
We have more party nights planned, with the next ones being a Christmas party night, then 80s themed and 60s themed.
Remember our Mediumship Night on the 28th September, tickets are selling well so get yours soon!
